Embracing your uniqueness: a horseback conversation with Federica Napoli and Veronica Ruggeri to rediscover the value of being yourself

Sometimes what feels like a limit turns out to be a new beginning.

That’s the message at the heart of the second episode of Storie da Raccontare”, the storytelling series by Stellantis Autonomy. In each episode, Veronica Ruggeri meets people who have turned their personal challenges into a new kind of freedom.

This time, she rides through the Tuscan countryside with Federica Napoli — singer, creator, and former member of the music group Il Pagante. Federica was born with an underdeveloped hand, but for much of her childhood, it wasn’t something she ever thought of as a limitation.
“My parents haven’t raised me under a glass dome,” she says. “They raised me to feel free.”

It wasn’t until fame — and the attention that came with it — that things got harder. “The cyber hate I received made me want to hide. I wasn’t Federica anymore — I was just the girl with a disability.”

What followed was a difficult, but powerful transformation — one that led her to accept herself fully and stop hiding. “My difference has never been a limit,” she says today. “I feel special. I’ve always done what I love, and I can do anything.”

Federica’s story is a reminder that there’s strength in showing up as you are. That being yourself is one of the most powerful things you can do.

At Stellantis, we believe in creating a world where everyone can move freely and live authentically, without barriers or labels. Because Autonomy isn’t just about mobility — it’s about self-expression, choice, and the confidence to live life your own way.

Watch the episode and discover Federica’s inspiring story.
