Introducing Alfa Romeo Tonale for All: the freedom to drive, without compromise

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Stellantis takes another step forward in this direction with Alfa Romeo Tonale for All, a project designed to make the pleasure of driving accessible to people with reduced upper-limb functionality.
Tonale for All is the result of a person-centred approach. A car created to adapt to real driving needs, thanks to advanced technologies developed in Italy and designed to deliver a safe, comfortable and independent driving experience.
The pedal-operated steering system and the raised central console—bringing key controls together in a single, ergonomic and easily accessible area—are the outcome of a close collaboration between engineering expertise and a deep focus on people. All adaptations are fully homologated and certified, ensuring safety and reliability at every journey.
For us at Autonomy, Tonale for All is much more than an innovation. It is a tangible expression of inclusion. Proof that technical and technological progress can become a real tool for freedom—one that restores autonomy and continuity to the lives of those who choose to keep moving forward. Tonale for All is part of a longer journey Stellantis has been pursuing for years to make mobility increasingly inclusive. An example is AMI for All, the Citroën project launched in 2022 within the Star*up programme—Stellantis’ internal incubator for employee-driven innovation.
Developed together with PIMAS, AMI for All offered wheelchair users a compact, electric mobility solution designed for everyday life—restoring independence, encouraging social participation and opening up new possibilities of movement. With Tonale for All, this commitment continues to evolve: the solutions change, but the vision remains the same—a mobility that adapts to people and turns innovation into freedom.
