Autonomy has now supported the Sardinia Open International Wheelchair Tennis for ten years, one of the world’s most prestigious wheelchair tennis tournaments and a reference event on the international circuit.
Established more than twenty-five years ago in Alghero, the Sardinia Open has grown to become one of the most important events on the world calendar, capable of drawing the best athletes and hundreds of participants from many countries every year.
The event represents much more than a sporting competition: it is a project that combines top-level performance, inclusion and participation, showing how sport can be a concrete tool for personal and social growth. Over the years, the tournament has repeatedly been awarded by the International Tennis Federation for the quality of its organization and for its contribution to the development of the Paralympic movement.
Autonomy’s support accompanies this journey by contributing to the creation of an event that enhances athletes’ talent and promotes an increasingly widespread culture. Through its collaboration with the Sardinia Open, Autonomy confirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that break down barriers and encourage participation, on and off the court.
A commitment renewed every year, with the goal of continuing to support a sport capable of inspiring, uniting and showing that the real challenge is not the barrier itself, but the possibility of overcoming it.
