Together with freestyle motocross champion Vanni Oddera, creator Mattia Vernengo shares his journey to overcome obstacles and prejudice, also talking about his relationship with his online community. Against the backdrop of Lake Maggiore, the two enjoy an action-filled experience between the water and the zipline that becomes the symbol of a simple yet powerful message: face challenges with determination and turn them into new opportunities for freedom.

Vanni: Mattia, what do you do in life?

[00:13]

Mattia: I’m a content creator and I spend a lot of time at the gym.

[00:17]

Vanni: How has sport influenced your life journey?

[00:21]

Mattia: It’s helped me a lot, also in how I relate to people.

[00:27]

Vanni: What are the main challenges you face because of your disability?

[00:33]

Mattia: One in particular is stuttering, but thanks to my determination and perseverance, I manage to overcome them all, including that.

Vanni: Do you ever get negative comments? And if so, how do you deal with them?

[00:48]

Mattia: At first they bothered me a bit, but little by little, as I grew and matured, I realized it’s pointless to take it personally.

Vanni: Mattia, so far we’ve followed the road—but now are you ready to fly?
